How to get to the Wollondilly Region by Road.
From Sydney.
Join the M5 Motorway at King George's Road, Beverley Hills, or at Liverpool. Head south towards Campbelltown/Goulburn/Canberra. From the M5, then the F5 Freeway, to the Wollondilly is about 40 minutes drive.
Enter the Wollondilly (all turns left) at:
- For Appin - take the Campbelltown exit, and Campbelltown bypass and head for "Appin/Wollongong" on the Appin Road.
- For The Oaks, Theresa Park and northern villages - take "Camden" exit at Campbelltown, then through Narellan and Camden
- For Wilton - take the "Wollongong" exit about 15 minutes past Campbelltown at Picton Road, then 5 minutes to Wilton turnoff.
- For Menangle, Douglas Park - take the "Campbelltown" exit, bypass, then join Menangle Road near Macarthur Square.
- For Picton and western villages - take the Picton exit about 15 minutes past Campbelltown at Picton Road, through Maldon to Picton.
- For Bargo and southern villages - take the Bargo exit about 30 minutes past Campbelltown.
From Canberra and southwestern NSW.
Head north out of Canberra to join the South Western Freeway (F5) near Goulburn towards Sydney. From Victoria, western, and southwestern NSW head towards Sydney, past Goulburn on the Freeway.
Enter the Wollondilly (all turns left) at:
- For Bargo, Tahmoor, Thirlmere and southern villages - take Bargo exit about 10 minutes past Mittagong. (Old Hume Highway continues through to Picton and Camden.)
- For Picton and southern villages - take the Picton exit at Picton Road about 20 minutes past Mittagong.
- For Wilton, Appin - take the "Wollongong" exit at Picton Road about 20 minutes past Mittagong, then turn right at overpass. Wilton exit is about 5 minutes; go through Wilton for scenic drive through Cataract gorge to Appin.
From Wollongong and South Coast.
Take the freeway north from Wollongong towards Sydney.
Enter the Wollondilly at:
- For Picton and all villages - about 15 minutes north of Wollongong take the Picton exit through Wilton to Picton.
