OUTLINE OF TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION.

Bed & Breakfast.

B&B accommodation is usually in private homes. Tariff ranges from as low as $90, or from $130 (per double, per night) on weekends - minimum two nights often preferred. Can be in an historic or even great country house, or farm stay. Typically features landscaped gardens; private or ensuite bathroom; traditional cooked or gourmet breakfasts.
Tariff is often discounted during midweek, and for multiple nights' stay.

Cabins

Cabins in this context refers to bunkhouse style accommodation, usually attached to camping grounds, catering for small groups or families of up to 8 in the case of Wirrimbirra, to larger groups of minimum 18 up to hundreds at Cataract Scout Park. Bathrooms can be attached, or shared. BBQ and communal kitchens available for use. Cost from $12 per person.

Camping

There are a number of Camping areas available in the Wollondilly ranging all the way up to large sites such as Cataract and Warragamba. Tents and caravans allowed. Communal facilities available. Tariff from $6 per person.

Caravan Parks

Caravans can be parked at a number of venues, some of which offer caravan hire. Overnight or longer term stays available. Communal bathrooms, cooking facilities are usual, as are kiosks for basic necessities. Tariff from $6 per person.

Farm Stays

Farm Stays - usually self-contained units near homestead; children usually welcome, with benefit of exploring the farm. Country gardens and "basket" breakfasts are typical of this style. Tariff similar to B&Bs. (Some B&Bs and self-contained apartments may also be on or adjacent to farms, although would not be classified as farm stays as such.)

Hotels

Hotels offer basic accommodation in licensed premises (sometimes in historic buildings.) Tariff ranges from $30 (per double, per night); often extra on weekends. Meals not included. Hotels usually have only shared bathrooms

Motels

Motels range from basic standard to modern luxury accommodation. Tariff starts from $60 - 110 (per double, per night), with ensuite bathrooms, and includes breakfast. Some are attached to hotels and inns which offer bistros and restaurants.
Tariff is sometimes discounted during midweek, or for groups and multiple nights' stay.

Self-contained Accommodation

Self-contained accommodation includes Cottages/apartments, loft-style or semi-detached venues, and farm stays. Cottages are fully furnished/equipped. Most typically offer beautiful country gardens; some "basket" breakfasts. Tariff from $100 to $120 per night (for 2); children usually welcome.
